I studied photography in art school (in the old days), with a film camera and a darkroom. It's been many years since then, and now I mainly photograph products for my Etsy site, and my gorgeous little girls. Most of my school knowledge...long forgotten.
I decided that in the ever growing competition on Etsy, I really wanted my photos to stand out. So...I invested in a new camera (Canon EOS Rebel XSI). I also bought a fabulous new book.....
Pacale Wowak has taken many, many fabulous photos of my work on her gorgeous little model and I am truly fascinated by her skills! This book is simple. It's for the person who really has no knowledge of photography, yet is for the people, like me, who once had a knowledge and needs a refresher.
If you, at all, want to give your photographs that extra little "something" that makes them art pieces, instead of just snapshots.....get this book. Really. I read it in one night. The next morning, I was completely armed and ready to use my new knowledge. I'm not kidding when I tell you that I now take about 400 pictures a day. I am (mostly) using all manual settings on my camera now. Her book is that good...her photography, that amazing. What's more amazing is that she's so open to teaching others how to achieve what she achieves.
